JPG, PNG, and WebP files work when your browser can decode and encode them. GIF, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, TIFF, and animated images are not supported.

Will smaller dimensions always make a smaller file?

Usually, but output format and quality matter. PNG is lossless and may be larger than a JPG or WebP. Compare the before and after sizes.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Decoding, resizing, and export happen in your browser.
